Healthy Start is a loose domestic touring program that offers schooling and care coordination to pregnant girls and households of children underneath the age of 3.  The intention of this system is to decrease risk elements associated with preterm start, low birth weight, little one mortality and bad developmental effects.

Healthy Start offers:

• Home Visiting
• Prenatal and Parenting Education
• Interconception Education such as Reproductive Life Planning
• Stress Management Education
• Care Coordination to assist families find out about resources to be had in the network and assistance in gaining access to the ones offerings

Florida's Healthy Start initiative become signed into regulation on June four, 1991. Healthy Start legislation offers for widespread threat screening of all Florida's pregnant women and new child infants to become aware of the ones vulnerable to bad start, fitness and developmental outcomes.
